About our customer services
Our customer centres allow you to deal with several enquiries in a single visit.
- You can speak to a trained customer service advisor to sort out queries relating to a range of services including benefits, council tax, housing and parking.
- You can use the self-service terminals and telephones available in the centres to access information, pay bills and report faults.

Weekly access to advice on Welfare Benefits and Tax Credits is available within Lambeth Service Centres at Olive Morris House and Gracefield Gardens.
Reception is available throughout the day. They will book appointments.
Brixton Customer Centre
The Brixton Customer Centre in Olive Morris House has been refurbished to provide a vastly improved working environment for both staff and customers, with an open-plan design and customer-focussed ethos.
Enquires about benefits, council tax, housing and parking can be dealt with at this centre. You can also use the self-service terminals to access general service information, pay bills and report faults.
In addition to council services, Lambeth Credit Union (www.lscu.org.uk) holds an information and advice surgery every Thursday, between 10am and 4pm.

Gracefield Gardens Customer Centre - Streatham
Self-service terminals
The self-service terminals in Gracefield Gardens are currently not working. Should you wish to use a terminal to access service information, pay bills or report a fault, please go to Brixton Customer Centre (above).
Gracefield Gardens Customer Centre is part of a site developed by Lambeth Primary Care Trust and is the result of a partnership between Lambeth Council and the PCT.
Enquiries about benefits, council tax, housing and parking can be dealt with at this centre. You can also use the self-service terminals to access general service information, pay bills and report faults.
In addition to council services local residents also have access to GP, nursing, foot health, midwifery and therapy services.

Customer care standards
We have introduced a new set of customer care standards that cover things such as how quickly we should answer the phone or reply to your letters. The key standards are:
- We aim to serve 80 per cent of customers that visit our Brixton and Gracefield Gardens Customer Centres within 20 minutes.
- If you email our Housing Team, we aim to respond within 10 working days. For all other emails, we aim to respond by the end of the working day.
- We will always progress your enquiry or complaint.
- You will always be given a warm and enthusiastic welcome.
- We will always check that you are satisfied with the service we provided.
- All of our staff are fully trained, customer service professionals - we will help you with any council enquiry, complaint or suggestion.
- We will provide you with up-to-date information about your enquiry or complaint whenever you ask us.
- We will always be sensitive to your needs and do our best to ensure that you can make the best use of our service.
