Loughborough Junction regeneration

Loughborough Junction has, for too long, simply been thought of as a through-road between Brixton and Camberwell. But, many people live here, there are good transport links, a strong community and a lot of exciting things are happening.

A public realm improvement programme is underway, guided by a steering group of local residents and businesses, that aims to improve the look and feel of the area.

Works on the Loughborough Junction Bridge began in February to install decorative lighting on the bridge, in addition to some lettering and public artwork, and there are also plans to improve the outlook of the entrance of Wyck Gardens and make the area more pedestrian and cycle-friendly.

New opportunities for small businesses and employment and skills training for local residents will come through the LJ Works project. Information on all of these projects can be found through the links below.
