Definition of terms

'Personal Data'
Information that relate to a living individual who can be identified from that data, or from other information that is (or is likely) to come into the possession of Lambeth Council.

'Data Subject'
You, as the individual who is the subject of the personal data.

'Data Controller'
Lambeth Council is the Data Controller, as it is the body that determines the purposes for which and manner in which the processing is carried out. Employees of the Council are not Data Controller’s in their own right in respect of the personal data that the Council holds.

'Processing'
Obtaining, recording or holding the personal data or carrying out any set of operations in respect of that data.

'Data Processor'
Any person (other than an employee of Lambeth Council) who processes (e.g. collects) the personal data on behalf of Lambeth Council.
