The TMO Liaison Committee

The TMO Liaison Committee is the main forum through which consultation with tenant management organisations (TMOs) and the council on strategic policy issues takes place. It is part of the council’s formal structures for resident involvement and consultation.

The committee is made up of all the chairs of the TMOs' management committees or other representatives nominated by each TMO. It meets every two months at 7pm at Lambeth Town Hall.

The committee members have a strong role in determining what issues are to be discussed at committee meetings and the committee chair meets with council officers in advance of each meeting to plan and agree the agenda.

A TMO representative, elected each year at the annual general meeting in May, chairs the committee. The chair is Ann Hoad of Loughborough EMB, replacing John Frankland of Thorlands EMB. The next AGM will be in March 2007.

The TMO liaison committee is entitled to nominate three TMO representatives to serve on the Tenants Council and up to four representatives to serve on the Leaseholders Council.
