On-street Recycling Banks

There are over 40 recycling sites around the borough that take paper and cardboard, mixed glass, tins, cans, aerosols and plastic bottles. A number of them also take clothes, shoes and printer cartridges.

There are also commuter bins at 14 key commuting locations for newspapers and magazines only.

You don't have to sort out all your waste

New 'co-mingled' banks, where possible with wheelchair access, mean you don't have to sort out all your waste - the following items all go in the same bin:

• All paper, cardboard, Yellow Pages and directories (Please flatten boxes.)
• All glass bottles and jars (Please rinse and remove lids. No broken glass please.)
• All drinks cans, food tins and aerosols (Please rinse tins and ensure aerosols are empty.) 
• Plastic bottles only (Please rinse and remove lids. No other types of plastic, e.g. yoghurt pots or other plastic food containers.)

Printer cartridge recycling

You can now recycle your old computer printer cartridges at five on-street sites listed below and Lambeth Household Recycling Centre.

Recycling cartridges not only reduces waste and pressure on landfill, it also reduces the need for raw materials such as oil, used to make the plastic.
