North Lambeth
North Lambeth is surrounded on the north and west by the River Thames, and the neighbouring boroughs of Southwark to the east and Wandsworth to the south west.
Its four wards are Bishops, Prince’s, Oval and Vassall. Being the least homogenous of Lambeth’s town centre areas, it comprises the ‘urban villages’ of Waterloo, Kennington, Oval and Vauxhall and Vassall ward, which straddles Camberwell, North Brixton and Stockwell.
The area encompasses a world class arts centre on the Southbank, the buzzing nightlife scene at Vauxhall particularly serving the gay community, a variety of arts venues in the Kennington area and numerous small retail areas, parks and open spaces and mixed housing areas throughout.
