Domestic violence awareness campaign launched

Poster from domestic violence campaign

A high profile poster campaign against domestic violence has been launched by Community Safety to reinforce the message that domestic violence is a crime and help is available for victims.

The campaign ‘This Christmas, will you get the same as last year?’ will run on public transport and billboards throughout the borough in November and into December and is supported by Lambeth Crime Prevention Trust and the London Centre for Domestic Violence.

The campaign has been timed to coincide with the run up to the Christmas festive period when levels of domestic violence are known to increase considerably.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by domestic violence contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
