Crime statistics
Crime analysts based in the Community Safety Division work with Lambeth Police to collate and analyse crime and related data to support the work of the Safe Lambeth Partnership.
- Total crime in the borough fell by 7.4 per cent this year official figures show, with significant falls occurring in burglaries, robberies, criminal damage, assault and sexual offences
- This is the fifth consecutive year of outstanding crime reduction in Lambeth.
Violent offences against the person were down by 7.2 per cent this year compared to last year, sexual offences were down 19 per cent, street robbery down 3.1 per cent and criminal damage down 6.4 per cent.
- The Metropolitan Police's annual crime statistics show that Lambeth recorded the biggest fall in crime in South London, down 41,968 offences in 2005-6 to 38,868 in 2006-7.
