Safer Neighbourhoods

Safer Neighbourhoods teams has been introduced in all areas of the borough to make our communities safer.

What is a Safer Neighbourhoods team (SNT)?

It is a dedicated team of officers for each neighbourhood, consisting of one Sergeant, two Constables and three Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). 

How do they work?

Their role will be to work with the community, local authority and a range of other partners to reduce crime and disorder and to deal with local issues and priorities identified by local people.

How can I get involved?

SNT gives local communities a real say in deciding the priorities for that area through community panels - allowing the Police to provide local solutions to local problems, whilst maintaining a focus on reducing priority crime.
