Your Local Area
This section includes information about community safety initiatives happening in the Borough. Each subcommand, which includes all the wards in Lambeth, have a dedicated Community Safety Partnership Co-ordinator, an anti-social behaviour officer and Safer Neighbourhood teams.
Community Safety Partnership Co-ordinators
Community Safety Partnership Co-ordinators work together with the community with the simple aim of making Lambeth a safer place to live, work and visit. This is achieved through a partnership approach working closely with the local community and the Police. We also have a good knowledge of the local area and possible solutions to the issues.
Until recently, there were Community Safety Partnership Co-ordinators who worked in each of the six town centres. Now, to ensure we work more effectively with our partners we will have three officers covering each area, known as a subcommand for North (Kennington), Central (Brixton) and South (Streatham) with another four Community Safety Co-ordinators working borough-wide on issues such as burglary, robbery and violent crime.
Our Community Safety Partnership Co-ordinators will also work closely with a new dedicated Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) team. This team of five officers will be working with you - local residents and businesses - and a range of other services to tackle ASB.
