North Lambeth
North Lambeth comprises the areas of Waterloo, the Southbank and Vauxhall, which border the River Thames, and Kennington, Oval and Stockwell to the south of these.
The area encompasses a world class arts centre on the Southbank, the buzzing nightlife scene at Vauxhall particularly serving the gay community, a variety of arts venues in the Kennington area and numerous small retail areas, parks and open spaces and mixed housing areas throughout. New Neighbourhoods and Communities Team
From 5 September, a new Communities and Neighbourhoods (North) team will work in Streatham to engage with local residents, voluntary organisations and community groups in support of the council’s regeneration and neighbourhood programmes, as well as broader neighbourhood working issues. The Communities and Neighbourhoods Manager for this area is Pal Luthra.
