Housing benefit reviews
If you are currently receiving housing benefit or council tax benefit we will check entitlement to your benefit from time to time. To do this we may:
- send you a housing benefit and council tax benefit review form
- telephone you.
Why do we review your benefits?
We review your benefits to help us to confirm your current circumstances and make sure that you are receiving the correct rate of benefit.
Housing review form
If you receive a housing benefit and council tax benefit review form you must complete and return it immediately to the Lambeth Revenues and Benefits Department.
You will be required to provide original documents as evidence of any change in your circumstances since you last made a claim. Full instructions on how to complete the form and which documents to send are included on the form itself.
What happens if I do not return the form?
If you delay in returning the review form you may lose benefit.
If you are not sure what proof we need to see, return the form and we will write to you explaining which original documents we require.
Help with completing your form
If you need help completing the form, or need any further advice, please call the Lambeth Revenues and Benefits Department on 0345 302 2312, or visit the Customer Centres at Brixton or Gracefield Gardens.
