Visit a customer centre

You can visit our customer centres in Brixton or Streatham.

A ticketed queuing system is in operation and an indicator board gives details of the average waiting time. You will always be given a written record of your visit that will show you what action is being taken on your enquiry.

The Council Tax Reception (in each customer centre) is staffed by experienced Council Tax Officers. Not only will they be able to deal with your enquiry, giving definitive advice, they will also update your account, as far as possible, straight away.

If you find that the matter is more complicated, and you would like to talk to a specific Council Tax Officer, you can book appointments at the Council Tax Reception.

Refer to our Customer centres web page for location information and opening hours.

Note: You can also book appointments to see Council Tax Officers over the phone. This is handy if you are unable to visit one of our customer centres. To book, call 020 7326 3195 or 020 7326 3350. If you are disabled or housebound, we can arrange for a Council Tax Officer to visit you in your home.
