Provides access for women to 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation, as well as an information service, including safety planning and translation facilities. A team of multi-lingual community staff will listen in confidence and offer practical and emotional support to women who are experiencing domestic violence from a partner, ex-partner or a family member. Gaia Centre
The Lambeth Gaia Centre provides free confidential emotional support and referrals for counselling, legal advice, housing and benefits advice, and immigration advice to support women affected by domestic violence. All staff in the GAIA centre are female. Services are available in English, Portuguese and Turkish and interpreters can be provided.

Ashiana Network
The Ashiana Network is a domestic violence project which provides counselling, practical support, housing provision and advice for women affected by domestic violence, forced marriages and abuse. They work with 16-30 year old, single women from South Asian, Turkish and Iranian backgrounds.They also run a counselling service for young people, male and female. Services are provided in English, Punjabi, Urdu, Turkish, Farsi, Malayalam and Hindi.

Kiran-Asian Women's Aid
A specialist project helping Asian women and children affected by domestic violence. The organisation provides refuge accomodation for up to 7 women and 14 children and provides outreach support such as casework and advice sessions to Asian women and children in community. We provide playscheme facilities for the children during the holidays and creche facilities at the refuge. The K Zone project has recently been launched to reach out to Asian youth to address domestic violence issues and other topics affecting Asian youth. Services are provided in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Bengali.

Rights of Women

Domestic Violence Intervention Project (DVIP)
