Our Emergency Response Planning Service plans our response to major emergencies. We provide useful links and contacts for emergencies.

  • If you or others are in immediate danger always call 999.
  • In the event of an out-of-hours emergency involving council property or services, call 020 7926 1000.
  • If you are a Lambeth tenant, call 020 7926 6000.
  • Gas: If you smell gas or are worried about gas safety, you can call 0800 111 999 at any time, day or night. Your call is free.
  • Use the links on the right for more information on floods, fire, police and other emergencies.

Civil emergencies - trauma support service

In the aftermath of a major incident many people will be affected. They may be survivors of the incident, relatives of these survivors or relatives of those who die as a result of the incident. They may be affected simply by being involved in the response.

Major emergencies occasionally happen. The Emergency Response Planning Team keeps, and regularly reviews, plans in readiness to respond to major emergencies in the borough 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
