We carry out surveys of businesses from across the borough to help us decide the best ways to support local businesses.

The Lambeth Local Economic Assessment provides detailed analysis of local economic conditions in the borough and is used to support a range of service plans and strategies.

Lambeth business survey 2011

In 2011 we carried out a survey of over 400 businesses from across the borough with a further 15 in-depth interviews and five area based focus groups (Norwood, Streatham, Clapham, Brixton and North Lambeth). The survey was conducted by an independent research agency between March and May 2011.

Local Economic Assessment

The Lambeth Local Economic Assessment presents a detailed analysis of the local economy setting out economic performance, trends, alongside factors that will impact upon London and the borough in the future - under the themes of place, people and the local economy.

Low carbon economy

In 2010 the Lambeth Enterprise Board commissioned a research programme into the value of the Low Carbon Economy in Lambeth. The survey identified 211 businesses in the low carbon sector.

Economic Development Strategy (2007-10)

In a bid to encourage businesses to 'set up shop' in Lambeth, the council has moved up a gear to ensure that the best support and training opportunities are available for local entrepreneurs and residents.
