Street parties 2012
If you wish to organise a Street Party this year then you must put in a request, by no later than 29 February 2012 for parties or social events being held in April, May and June 2012. If street party requests are received after this date, the organisers may have to pay the costs of the necessary Temporary Traffic Order.
To help our residents celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and also The Eden Project's The Big Lunch , we have shortened the normal three-month notice period required for road closures for street parties on 2 to 5 June 2012. For road closures to be processed applications must be received no later than 31 March 2012.
If you wish to hold a street party in July, August or September of this year, then you must notify us in writing by no later than 6 June 2012, otherwise, once again, the organisers may have to pay the costs of the necessary Temporary Traffic Order.
