Booking rates


Monday - Thursday

  • 8am – 6pm: £77 per hour
  • 6pm – 11pm: £110 per hour

Friday and Saturday

  • 8am – 6pm: £110 per hour
  • 6pm – 2am: £165 per hour.

Sunday

  • 8am - 6pm: £110 per hour
  • 6pm - midnight: £165 per hour

Weddings

Rates only available for bookings covering the whole time period.

Friday and Saturday

  • 9am to 2am (17 hours): £1650

Sunday

  • 9am to 12 midnight (15 hours): £1650

Venue information

  • Assembly Hall size, 40 feet by 60 feet (excluding stage)
  • Stage size: 24feet by 13 feet
  • Seating Capacity: 300
  • Banqueting capacity (sit-down receptions): 180
  • Dancing capacity (without chairs or tables): 350.

Reservations and payments

The following terms and conditions apply without exception to all bookings:

  • The hire charge includes use of the food serving area in the Foyer to the Assembly Hall.
  • Please be aware there are no provisional bookings. Bookings are allocated on a first come first saved basis.
  • The council reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its sole discretion
  • The Assembly Hall must be left clean and tidy. Charges and costs will be incurred if any damages are discovered after the event.
  • Alcohol cannot be served without a valid liquor licence. People caught selling alcohol without a licence will be liable to prosecution.
  • Events which go above stated capacity will immediately be shut down.

Bookings and cancellations

  • Bookings must be secured by a refundable deposit of £200, accepted in cash at the time of booking.
    All bookings must be paid in full eight weeks before the event date accepted in cash.
  • Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to event date  must be paid in full, in cash.
  • For bookings made less than two weeks prior to event date the full amount must be paid in cash when the booking is made.
  • Cancellations eight weeks prior to event date: the full payment will be refunded minus a £30.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations less than eight weeks prior to event date: no refund will be given.

'Setting up' charges

A maximum of three hours is allowed for setting up the Assembly Hall before an event.

  • One hour prior to the event is free of charge
  • Up to two further hours are allowed at a rate of £15 per hour.
  • Any over-run or misuse of this facility shall incur charges at the normal rates.

The office is open to visitors Monday- Friday 9am-12:30pm and 1:30-4:30pm.

Catering and refreshments for an event in the Assembly Hall

Catering for all meeting rooms between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday must be ordered through the council corporate catering contract (Tel: 0207 926 0057). Other catering companies will be refused entry to the building!
