University of the Third Age (U3A) Norwood
The University of the Third Age in Norwood was established in 2006 and has been a fully fledged member of the umbrella organisation since May 2007.
Universities of the Third Age (U3A) are self-help, self-managed lifelong learning co-operatives for older people who are no longer in full time work. They provide opportunities for their members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun.
The ethos of the organisation is to take part and contribute. The U3A approach to learning is learning for pleasure. There is no accreditation or validation and there are no assessments or qualifications to be gained.
The group have been using Nettlefold Hall for meetings and due to the current refurbishment of this building are looking for alternative premises. Please visit this page to keep up-to-date
