Cemeteries and crematoria fees and charges
Please see the cemeteries and crematoria fees and charges document for full details.
If booked through a funeral director, the cost of a funeral will include disbursements, fees paid by the duneral director on behalf of the client. These fees can cover items such as cemetery or crematorium fees, doctors certificates, floral tributes, notices in newspapers and catering.
Purchasing a grave
When you buy a grave in one of Lambeth's cemeteries, you buy the 'exclusive right of burial' for that particular grave. These are known as 'purchased graves'. The exclusive right of burial is sold for periods of 25, 50 or 75 years.
The exclusive rights to a grave can be purchased by residents and non-residents but the fee is higher for non-residents.
For these purposes a resident is defined as a person who has paid council tax to London Borough of Lambeth for the 12 months prior to their death. A copy of a council tax demand for the period may be required as proof of this. Please see the cemeteries and crematoria fees and charges document for full fees.
Please contact us for more information and we will be happy to advise you.
