Translation and Interpretation Policy
The Translation and Interpretation Policy is designed to ensure that:
- all residents and customers are able to access council services whilst balancing the needs and legal requirements for translating against the associated costs
- the council provides appropriate and high quality translation and interpretation services, including British Sign Language and other forms and formats of communication
- gaps in service outcomes experienced by residents who require translation or interpretation and those who do not are narrowed.
Information on how the council can support you in improving your English skills is available on our Adult courses in Lambeth web page.
