Volunteering
Ranging from landscape gardening to magazine editorial, volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and make a unique and valuable contribution to the community.
In Lambeth, there is a wide choice of volunteering opportunities to suit your interests and time. Even if you don't live in Lambeth but work or study in the borough you can still take part.
Listed below are organisations looking for volunteers in Lambeth.
Age Concern Lambeth
Age Concern Lambeth has a number of projects that are empowered by volunteers, from manning the phones in the office in Brixton, to befriending in peoples homes and care homes across the borough.
We urgently need volunteers who are willing and able to befriend older people and help alleviate feelings of loneliness, isolation and social exclusion. The role involves visiting an older person in a care home or in their own home, and embracing the various interests they may have or helping them develop a new one.
Age Concern Lambeth will provide you with a free criminal record bureau (CRB) check, and relevant training as well as supporting you every step of the way.
