Housing, Regeneration and Environment

The Housing, Regeneration and Environment (HRE) department brings together housing, planning, economic development, property, adult education, physical regeneration (Future Lambeth), transport, public realm and town centres.

The department's services range from co-ordinating recycling and promoting sustainability, to providing assistance for homeless families. HRE also oversees the relationships with Lambeth Living and United Residents Housing, the two ALMOs (arms length management organisations) contracted to manage the borough’s council homes.
