Corporate Programme Management Office

Mission statement

The corporate programme management office (CPMO), will provide objective review and assurance of project or programme risks and deliverables to the council's Strategic Leadership Board through a transparent and accountable quality management framework.

The CPMO will facilitate decisions on cross-cutting and transformational change programmes, and ensure successful project delivery.

How this will be handled

This will be handled by providing an independent challenge and support function to project leads and sponsors to reduce delivery slippage. We will be carrying out regular health checks on projects,
regularly challenging the ongoing viability of projects in line with strategic priorities in order to reduce the council's risk exposure.

We will also be undertaking research, strategic programme development and portfolio balancing of transformational projects as well as providing specialist input into areas such as business case, risk management, change management, benefits realisation in addition to skills transfer to Lambeth departments.
