Data Protection and Freedom of Information

Publications Scheme

The Publications Scheme demonstrates our commitment to making many documents and records public, and to helping you find them. (See our Freedom of Information policy for the principles behind the Scheme.)

The Scheme covers documents which:

  • are issued regularly (e.g. Monthly [Education] Budget Monitor Report)
  • are issued whenever they are produced (e.g. minutes of a council meeting), or
  • are issued once and then revised from time to time (e.g. the Constitution of the Council).

How to access information

Any document which is available on our website can be found by using the link provided in this Publications Scheme or by searching for the document using site search. Library staff in the borough should also be able to help you find a document.

Documents which are available on paper can be obtained from:

  • libraries in the borough
  • Housing offices
  • Town Centre offices.

How to make an enquiry or complaint

If you cannot find a document or have a complaint about the document or this Publications Scheme, contact the person or council department whose name is given beside the document name. If, after doing that, you are still not satisfied, contact the council's Corporate Complaints Team.

Advice for people with accessibility issues

  • No Internet access
You can access the Web free at any library in the borough and in the UK Online Centre (in Ivor House, 1 Acre Lane, SW2 5SD).
  • If you do not wish to use a computer, library staff will print you a copy of any document or will order you a copy.
  • Disability
There is wheelchair access to borough libraries and Lambeth Town Hall.

Payment

Hard copies of documents listed as being provided on paper free of charge will normally be supplied without cost. However, if an unreasonable number of documents is sought, a charge will be levied at a maximum of 10% of the estimated cost to the council of providing the hard copies.

Libraries will print the Publications Scheme at a price of 30p.

Libraries and other council offices are likely to make a charge per page to print out documents which are only located on the Internet. Unless stated otherwise on the list, there is no charge for viewing these documents.

Categories

The documents are listed by categories of service; you do not need to know the council’s organisational structure to find what you are looking for.
