Elections and voting
In the United Kingdom and in Europe, decisions that affect all our lives are made everyday by our local councillors and MPs.
So that you can exercise your right to vote, we compile and maintain the electoral register. We also organise and manage all elections and referendums in the borough.
Information about local elections.
To vote in Lambeth, you must be over 18, a resident of the borough, and a citizen of the UK, Ireland, a Commonwealth country, or another European Union state.
If you or anyone in your household requires a postal or proxy vote please telephone the helpline 0207 926 2254.
You must be on the Electoral Register to be able to vote. You can add your name to the register by completing and returning our voter registration form.
The Electoral Register is the list of everyone in the borough who is registered to vote. You can only vote if your name is on the register.
