Elections
Borough council elections are held every four years. However, local by-elections and London-wide elections also take place, and a general election could be called at any time - so it is important that you register to vote and keep your details up to date on the electoral register to make sure you do not lose your vote.
London Elections
The London Elections took place on Thursday 1 May 2008. Residents voted for their Constituency London Assembly Member, London-wide Assembly Member and for the Mayor of London.

Vassall Ward by-election
A by-election was held in the Vassall ward of the London Borough of Lambeth on Thursday 20 March 2008, due to the sudden and unfortunate death of Cllr Liz Atkinson earlier this year.
