Our multi-million pound investment programme to upgrade our flagship leisure centre, the Brixton Rec, and the new state-of-the-art fitness centre at Brockwell Lido are providing excellent, modern fitness facilities for the whole community.

The new fitness and well-being centre at Lambeth’s iconic Brockwell Lido opened last year and has a 100-station gym with the latest equipment, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and exercise studios. The centre is part of the £3 million Brockwell Lido improvement plan which will see the complete renovation of the Lido buildings and pool surroundings, restoring it to its 1930s glory.

The Brixton Recreation Centre has witnessed a £2.85 million refurbishment, bringing some new and innovative facilities such as the borough’s first ever adult-free gym. Young people can get fit in a safe and fun environment, choosing from a range of equipment including computerised dance mats and exercise classes with a virtual instructor.
