Lambeth Statistics - Census 2001
Welcome to the Lambeth Statistics Census 2001 webpages. Here you will find detailed information on the results for Lambeth of the 2001 Census.
Every ten years, since 1801, the Government has held a national census (except in 1941). The last Census was held on Sunday 29 April 2001. The Census is a survey of all people and households in the UK and provides data both on the numbers of people and on their social and economic conditions. It is used, together with other data sources, to plan the funding and delivery of public services and in research to determine the make up of the population and social needs.
The Census has the largest sample size of any data source and is the only survey that provides a detailed picture of the entire population. You can find out more about the Census here, or view a sample census form.
