"A Youth Mayor will help Lambeth youth to show their positive side!"
MasterStepz

"The Youth Mayor is a new initiative for Lambeth, and great hopes have been invested in it. Having local residents throughout the age range participate in civic and political affairs is a sure sign of a healthy democracy. We are hoping for a high turnout and a productive debate in the election of the Youth Mayor. It would be wonderful if this election were to play a part in encouraging still greater participation in our local affairs."
Cllr Andrew Gibson
Mayor of Lambeth

"I am delighted that Lambeth is to have its very own youth mayor. It is vital that we take on board the views of young people when planning our services, particularly given Lambeth's youthful population, and having a youth mayor is a great way of channelling their ideas and thoughts. I look forward to working closely with the youth mayor when they are elected."
Derrick Anderson
Lambeth Council Chief Executive
