Lambeth Play Strategy 2007 – 2017

On 01 August 2007 Lambeth launched its 10 year vision championing children’s right to play.

The strategy was developed following extensive consultation with children, parents, existing play providers and a wide range of voluntary and statutory sector organisations. A mapping of existing play services plus an audit of open access play services was undertaken.

All this information was assessed against the need across the borough.

The strategy sets out a range of policies and strategic priorities for action to make the vision a reality. The implementation of the strategy is led by the Children and Young People’s Service and in close partnership with Environment, Culture and Community Safety, Housing, Planning and the voluntary sector.
