Lambeth's PE, sport and physical activity framework for children and young people

Young woman playing footballLambeth launched its first PE, Sport and Physical Activity Framework for Children and Young People on 11 May 2009.

The Framework will provide a strategic approach to the delivery of the new national ambition of five hours of sport for children and young people per week. It will provide a coherent approach to the future delivery of PE, sport and physical activity for children and young people across the borough, through which participation levels and improved outcomes will increase year on year.

The overarching principle of the Framework is effective collaboration and partnership working, building on the good work already taking place in the borough. The Framework is a partnership document developed by the Children and Young Peoples PE, Sport and Physical Activity Partnership, who will oversee its implementation.
