Employment and Training Providers' Network (LETPN)
The Lambeth Employment and Training Providers Network (LETPN) was launched on 14 September 2007, based on the consultation which took place in June 2007.
The Lambeth First Employment and Skills Plan aims to achieve a 70% employment rate by 2012, by improving outcomes for people who experience difficulty in accessing and staying in work.
The ambitious targets within the plan are a call to action for organisations responsible for employment and skills services, to improve Lambeth's employment rate.
The objectives of the LETPN were established as follows to:
- address the poor level of basic skills provision in the borough
- reduce overall number of adults with low levels of basic skills
- provide the infrastructure for capacity building and information provision between statutory public, private and third sector employment and training providers
- build on the strategic approach to employment and skills in the borough used by the Lambeth First Employment and Skills plan
- provide a forum of Employment and Training provision, working together to assist people seeking employment in Lambeth and support employers and employees in organisational and career development
- To assist Employment and Training Providers to develop a joined-up, fit-for-purpose, high quality and targeted package of services for the individuals and employers
- support the collection of essential information on the data, needs, existing provision, gaps and to make recommendations on the structure, function and future work programme for employment and skills.
LETPN Meetings
The last meeting was held on 19 May 2008. The network will meet on a regular basis.
