Education Estates and Capital Projects

Smiling studentsEducation Estates and Capital Projects (EECP) division is responsible for managing the estate and property of the Lambeth Children and Young Peoples Service and for delivering schools and community capital building projects.

Over the next few years there will be a huge investment in Lambeth's secondary and primary schools. We will be responsible for delivering projects which will provide new buildings at several schools, renew and refurbish the existing buildings, and expand others to meet the growing demand for school places.

Current major projects include the:

  • refurbishment of Dunraven and Norwood secondary schools
  • expansion of Lilian Baylis Technical College's sixth form
  • building of a new secondary academy at Tulse Hill
  • rebuilding  of Fenstanton Primary school
  • building of a new Julian's Norwood primary school in West Norwood.

As well as this there is a programme of expansion and modernisation of several other primary schools across the borough.

We are also responsible for the strategic procurement, contract administration, estate master planning, asset management and ICT strategy for Lambeth’s education estate.

We have an award-winning schools building programme recognised nationally for its excellent designs, innovation and transformational vision.

You can watch three short films about Lambeth's completed school projects to see the impact and real difference the investment in Lambeth schools is making.
