Stockwell Park High School

The first school in the national BSF programme to receive an Excellent rating from the Committee for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE).

The new building replaces and expands the school on its existing site to provide 1,200 places, a 15-place Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) unit and post-16 places.

The new building was designed by Sheppard Robson and built by Willmott Dixon. The exciting features to stimulate and inspire learning include:

• the re-introduction of an amphitheatre, which was part of the orphanage previously on the site to create a drama space
• new gardens featuring a school allotment, quiet spaces for the older students, a sensory garden for children with Special Education Needs (SEN) and a science and technology garden in line with plans for outdoor curricular activities
• a dining room has been designed to provide an external eating area in good weather 
• multi-use games area
• sport hall
• ICT suites.
