Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF)
We are a youth-led group of young people, who study or live in Lambeth and want to make our borough one to be proud of. We have been given approximately £300,000 for the financial year 2008 -09 by the government, to spend on projects around Lambeth.
This funding is to be spent on young people’s ideas either to renew buildings and equipment or get activities and projects up and running.
Young people aged between 13 and 19 can apply for large grants (up to £10,000) for capital projects or small grants (up to £6,000) for revenue projects.
We want to give young people a voice and prove to others that we can send a powerful message and can be independent.
Being in the Youth Opportunity Fund Panel (YOF Panel) is not just about having something to put on your CV, although that is one of its benefits.
