Looked After Children's Education Achievement
Improving educational outcomes for Looked after children is a key council objective.
Statistics show that nationally looked after children achieve considerably less well than other children in attaining GCSE; this is also the case in Lambeth. There is an urgent need to narrow this gap and improve educational outcomes for this group of young people to ensure that they get the same chances to be successful as everybody else. Lambeth, as corporate parents are leading the drive to support and improve performance of this vulnerable group of children.
