Lambeth Virtual School for Children Looked After
Improving educational outcomes for Children Looked after is a key council objective.
Statistics show that nationally this group achieve considerably less well than other children in attaining GCSE qualifications; this is also the case in Lambeth. There is an urgent need to narrow this gap and improve educational outcomes for this group of young people to ensure that they get the same chances to be successful as everybody else. Lambeth, as corporate parents are leading the drive to support and improve performance of this vulnerable group of children.
The Lambeth Virtual School for Children Looked after is not a school in the physical sense, but rather a council service that champions the needs of Lambeth's children and young people who are looked after.
