Lambeth Parents Advocate

Lambeth’s Parent Advocate's key responsibilities are:

To develop and promote links with all key parents' groups in Lambeth
To be an advocate for parents to support their access to services provided by the CYPS through sign posting
To set up, co-ordinate and facilitate the Parents Forum to enable it to feed into the governance structure of the CYPSP
To report findings from the Parents Forum to Members, CYPSP and DLT
To provide advice for Members, CYPSP and DLT on Parents Forum/Advocacy matters
To attend CYPSP, DLT, Scrutiny and other Council meetings as necessary
To work closely with a range of officers responsible for promoting parent partnership in order to ensure a co-ordinated approach to working with parents across the borough
To liaise with all services within CYPS to promote the voice of parents
To advise and support the development of a website for parents
To attend and promote the voice of parents at the CYPSP assembly.
