Lambeth Parents Advocate
Lambeth’s Parent Advocate's key responsibilities are:
- To develop and promote links with all key parents' groups in Lambeth
- To be an advocate for parents to support their access to services provided by the CYPS through sign posting
- To set up, co-ordinate and facilitate the Parents Forum to enable it to feed into the governance structure of the CYPSP
- To report findings from the Parents Forum to Members, CYPSP and DLT
- To provide advice for Members, CYPSP and DLT on Parents Forum/Advocacy matters
- To attend CYPSP, DLT, Scrutiny and other Council meetings as necessary
- To work closely with a range of officers responsible for promoting parent partnership in order to ensure a co-ordinated approach to working with parents across the borough
- To liaise with all services within CYPS to promote the voice of parents
- To advise and support the development of a website for parents
- To attend and promote the voice of parents at the CYPSP assembly.
