School insurance

We are responsible for insuring the council’s assets and the insurance arrangements for the community and voluntary aided schools.

Lambeth is dedicated to improving the insurance service within our schools. Our staff can offer schools a comprehensive advice service on insurance related matters.

Risk surveys for schools

Working in partnership, the risk and insurance sections have carried out risk surveys with all of the schools that insure through Lambeth. The surveys assess the schools management of fire safety, security and health and safety. Using the data provided by the surveys and claims history, we were able to offer schools premium discounts, insurance information and downloadable forms for schools.

Insurance documentation

What follows are a number of key documents relating to insurance claims for schools.
