Changes to Student Loans

Due to changes in the way student finance is processed Lambeth will not be accepting new applications for higher education student support for the academic year 2009/10.

Applications from new students in 2009/10 will now be processed by the Student Loans Company. Information and online applications will be available from February 2009 at www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk. For paper applications please call the helpline on telephone: 08456 077 577.

Lambeth One-Stop-Shop and the Student Finance Team will be unable to provide any advice or guidance on new applications, accept any new application forms or support evidence for 2009/10.

Returning Students should continue to apply for their student finance through their Local Authority (Lambeth) and should have received a letter or a renewal form during November/December 2008 to encourage them to apply online. Online applications will be processed by the Local Authority as in previous years.

Part-time applicants for academic year 2009/10 can apply or renew their applications with the student loans company at www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk.
