Primary school in-year admissions - for the 2011/12 academic year
This relates to those applying for a primary school place after 1 September 2010 for reception to year 6 in the 2010/11 academic year, ie, born between 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2007.
The Government requires all councils to co-ordinate in-year (casual) admissions. A normal admissions round refers to applications for the start of reception in a primary school or secondary transfer from primary school to year 7 in secondary school. All applications outside of normal admissions are regarded as 'in-year' (casual) admissions. Your application will be considered as in-year if:
- you are applying for a place in years 1 to 6 at a primary school or years 8 to 11 at a secondary school.
- you are applying for a reception place at a primary school or a year 7 place at a secondary school after school has started in September.

Applications are received throughout the year and must now be made using an Primary School in-year Common Application Form (iCAF) 2011/12 through your home borough. Lambeth residents need to apply using the Lambeth primary school iCAF even if you are applying to schools in other boroughs.
All of your preferences will be considered at the same time, regardless of rank. A letter should be sent within 20 school days to let you know the outcome of your application. If your child is not offered a place at any school, Lambeth School Admissions Team we will let you know the names of alternative schools with vacancies. Your child will also be placed on the waiting list of your preference schools.
How to apply
You can only apply using a paper, downloadable Lambeth primary school iCAF from 1 September 2011 or by requesting a copy from Lambeth School Admissions Team by calling 020 7926 9503.
If you live in a different borough to Lambeth, please apply using your home borough's iCAF, even if you are applying for a Lambeth school.
Your completed forms should either:
- be handed in at the Brixton Customer Centre, Olive Morris House, 18 Brixton Hill London SW2 1RL
- or posted using the correct postage to Lambeth School Admissions Team, CYPS ERAA Service, 6th Floor, International House, Canterbury Crescent, London SW9 7QE.

Changing your address
If you change address after submitting your iCAF, please notify the Lambeth School Admissions Team as soon as possible as it may effect your application.
