Schools admissions
Starting school is a very important milestone in your child's life. Lambeth has a selection of excellent schools catering for a range of needs. The information below will help you select the right school and guide you through the application process.
Primary school admissions
The application closing date for reception entry to primary schools in 2009/10 has now passed (2 February 2009). This applies to children born between born between 1 September 2004 and 31 August 2005.
On Local Offer Day, 24 April 2009, a letter was posted to all on-time applicants informing applicants which school, if any, had been offered. Letters were sent to both online applicants and those who completed paper applications. In addition to this, online applicants are also able to view the result of their application online from 7am on 25 April 2009.
If you have not made an application and your child is due to enter reception class of a Lambeth primary school in the academic 2009/10, you will still need to make an application using the Common Application Form. You will not be able to complete an online application.

These forms should either be handed in to the One Stop Shop, Ground Floor, International House, Canterbury Crescent, London SW9 7QE, or posted to Lambeth School Admissions Team, CYPS ERAA Service, 4th Floor, International House, Canterbury Crescent, London SW9 7QE.
If you change address after submitting the common application form, please notify the Lambeth school admissions team as soon as possible as it may effect the application.

Secondary school admissions
The application closing date for Year 7 entry to secondary schools in 2009 has now passed (24 October 2008). This applies to children born between 1 September 1997 and 31 August 1998 or taught as a Year 6 child during the 2007/08 academic year.
On National Offer Day, 2 March 2009, a letter was posted to all on-time applicants informing applicants which school, if any, had been offered. Letters were sent to both online applicants and those who have completed paper applications.
In addition to this, online applicants are also able to view the result of their application online on the eAdmissions portal.

If you have not made an application and your child is due to transfer to secondary school in 2009, you will still need to make an application using the common application form for your home local authority. You will not be able to complete an online application after the closing date of 24 October 2008.
