Benefits for Lambeth teachers
There are a number of benefits available to Lambeth teachers, including:
- an interest-free season ticket loan (after being in post for six months)
- the Lambeth Leisure Card, which gives you discounts at Lambeth's four leisure centres every time you use it - 25 per cent off at peak times and 50 per cent off at off-peak times
- payment on the Inner London pay scale
- access to housing schemes available through Housing Options, offering interest-free home loans, shared ownership schemes and local affordable rented housing initiatives providing rented properties at around a 25 per cent discount on market rates

Support from the Lambeth City Learning Centre
The Lambeth City Learning Centre (CLC) supports all schools in the local authority in arts and culture, technology and family learning activities.
They offer workshops and projects, train school staff, broker partnerships with specialists and offer ideas, information, advice and guidance in each of the three areas.
The CLC is currently based at the BFI Southbank (British Film Institute) and much of its work is in partnership with the borough's arts and cultural organisations. This year's programme includes a borough-wide film and animation festival, a research pilot to explore the impact of handheld technologies on pupils' mental maths skills, an environmental project using dataloggers and film to record and capture information and a large number of arts projects with the Southbank Centre, National Theatre, Rambert Dance and the BFI.
Professional development
Lambeth also has a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for all school-based staff, throughout your career, with access to both local and national courses. Lambeth also supports and promotes Chartered London Teacher Status, which is a qualification that recognises the professionalism and commitment of London teachers, as well as carrying a one-off payment of £1,000 on accreditation.
