Interim arrangements for Slade Gardens One O’clock Club
The Slade Gardens One O’clock Club building is currently closed while extensive repair work is undertaken.
We have made the following interim arrangements to support limited service delivery to continue on site while these works are taking place.
- The outdoor space and play equipment surrounding the One O’clock Club will be available tuesday – friday from 1-3.30 pm.
- Limited arts and craft activities will also be provided outdoors.
- There will be access through the gate which links the One O’clock Club area to the adventure playground area. This will enable you to access the adventure playground building and the toilets within it. There will also be a baby changing area within this building.
- Adventure playground play equipment will be taped off. It is not suitable for children under five. It will be the responsibility of parents/ carers to ensure children do not access this equipment.
- The emphasis over May and June will be on outdoor play. The adventure playground building is not really equipped or safe for young children’s activities. Children using the toilets must be accompanied at all times.
- We may not be able to offer this service on very rainy days, as there will not be appropriate shelter. We will offer the service whenever possible.
We hope to reopen the One O’clock Club building and recommence full service delivery as soon as possible, and in advance of the summer holiday period.
The nearest alternative One O'clock Clubs are in Larkhall Park and Max Roach Park (both closed Monday).
