Borough Action for Responsible K9s

Borough Action for Responsible K9s (BARK) is a multi-agency team set up to tackle problems caused by the irresponsible use and mistreatment of dogs in Lambeth.

BARK includes representatives from London Borough of Lambeth, Lambeth Living, RSPCA, Metropolitan Police and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Aims and objectives

Our main objective is to improve Lambeth for the good of residents as well as dogs. We also aim to:

• educate residents about dog welfare and promote responsible ownership
• reduce levels of anti-social behaviour linked to the misuse of dogs
• reduce the number of incidents involving the mistreatment of dogs
• use appropriate legislation to respond effectively when offences are committed or there is evidence of mistreatment of dogs.
