Stray Animals
We collect stray dogs and other abandoned, voluntarily relinquished or stray animals.
Dogs
We have a statutory responsibility to collect stray dogs.
Stray dogs are collected and returned to their owners or taken to Battersea Dogs Home.
Other animals
Other stray, voluntarily relinquished or abandoned animals are collected and where possible re-homed via animal charities.
Lost animals
If you are trying to find a lost animal you can:
- call us on 020 7926 8860, Monday to Friday
- call Battersea Dogs Home's Lost Dogs and Cats Line on 0901 477 8477
- call local police stations in the area just in case the animal has been handed in to them.
Found animals
If you have found an animal or want to report a stray animal you can:
- call us on 020 7926 8860, Monday to Friday
- call Battersea Dogs Home's Lost Dogs and Cats Line on 0901 477 8477
- take the anmial to the nearest police station. The police will then arrange for the animal to be collected and taken to Battersea Dogs Home.
Wanless Road Depot
Our service is based at the Wanless Road Depot where temporary animal holding pens are available.
