Energy grants, loans and schemes

A range of grant and loan schemes are available from Lambeth or the Government that cover the cost of heating, heating controls, cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and draught proofing measures. To be eligilble to apply you must meet the criteria.

Feed-in Tariff scheme

The Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme became available on 1 April 2010. Under this scheme energy suppliers make regular payments to householders and communities who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar electricity (PV) panels. Warm Front scheme

The Warm Front grant scheme is a government-funded initiative that provides grants for energy efficient heating and insulation in private sector properties, for those who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Go to the Warm Front scheme page to find out if you are eligible to apply.

Coldbusters scheme

Energy companies

All major energy suppliers are required to achieve targets for promoting reductions in carbon emissions and therefore offer discounted or free insulation for eligible householders.
