Lambeth Climate Change Day
Friday 13 June 2008
Lambeth Town Hall, Tate Gardens and Windrush Square, Brixton
Change a little - gain a lot
Following the success of the first Lambeth Climate Change Day last year, we will be hosting another this year on Friday 13 June. This year it's going to be even bigger and better, with an excellent list of speakers for the conference, and a climate change fair where you can pick up lots of giveaways and information about reducing climate change.
On Windrush Square, opposite Lambeth Town Hall, there will be an eco-market where you can buy ethical and fair-trade products.
Whether you live work or simply visit Lambeth, the Climate Change Day is a great opportunity to learn a little more about climate change and the positive steps you can take in your own homes and businesses to save energy and money.
In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to see a premier screening of the Oxfam film, Sisters on the Planet, which looks at the effects of climate change on women around the world.
The event is completely free of charge and is designed to be a family friendly event with something of interest for everyone.
