Vale Street Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)

The permanent outdoor Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at Vale Street, West Norwood, SE27 is now open.

The games area, developed on a portion of the former Vale Street depot (which is now a Household Recycling Centre), provides a modern, safe, floodlit pitch with an all weather surface that is designed to provide comfortable playing whilst also reducing the risk of injury.

The council is committed to providing more positive things for young people to do and more places to go in their local area. The new MUGA builds on the success of the temporary facility developed in 2006 and aims to provide a safe and appropriate place to play throughout the year.

Opening times

There is no need to book the Vale Street Games Area. This facility is open to all, free to use and is available on a first come, first served basis.

Opening hours are between 0800 and 2100 everyday, with the exception of Christmas Day.
