Future Streatham
Future Streatham is our long-term regeneration programme for Streatham. The masterplan outlines the type of development people would like to see in the area and the Streatham Hub project is a multi-million pound project focused around the provision of much-needed new leisure facilities.
A new modern ice rink, swimming pool and leisure centre are all part of the Streatham Hub project, which will revitalise the south of Streatham.
Preparation works began ahead of construction in August 2011. Construction itself is due to be completed towards the end of 2013.
A masterplan has been developed for Streatham in consultation with local residents, businesses and organisations. It will act as a guide for future opportunities and development in the local area. The masterplan was approved by Cabinet in July 2009.
The masterplan sets out the type of development that people would like to see in the area. It will help Streatham make the most of local development opportunities as well as protecting and enhancing the best things about the area.

We will now be working on ways to implement the various proposals in the masterplan, and looks forward to working with local residents, communities and business in getting these going.
