Future Streatham
A masterplan has been developed for Streatham in consultation with local residents, businesses and organisations. It will act as a guide for future opportunities and development in the local area. The masterplan was approved by Cabinet in July 2009.
The masterplan sets out the type of development that people would like to see in the area. It will help Streatham make the most of local development opportunities as well as protecting and enhancing the best things about the area.

Extensive consultation took place throughout 2008 and the beginning of 2009 with local people to develop the masterplan.
Thank you to everyone who has sent emails, attended workshops, commented on proposals and got involved to date. All comments have fed into and helped form the masterplan. You can download the final version of the Streatham masterplan.
We will now be working on ways to implement the various proposals in the masterplan, and looks forward to working with local residents, communities and business in getting these going.

A new state-of-the-art ice rink, swimming pool and leisure centre are all part of the exciting Streatham Hub project.
As of December 2009, the council remains in negotiations with Tesco and we are working towards a mutually beneficial outcome. Investment in Streatham is necessary and the council is committed to ensuring new state of the art facilities.
